Lettie was Food & Wine's Executive Wine Editor for twelve years. During that time, she was instrumental in expanding the publication's wine coverage. In addition to overseeing the annual wine issue (October), the American Wine Awards, and the Best New Restaurant Wine List awards. She writes a monthly column "Wine Matters" for which she won the 2003 James Beard M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award -- an award given to the single best piece of writing on food or wine in the calendar year. She also won the 2005 James Beard Magazine Column Award for her three-part series "Educating Peter" (September, October and November). She gives regular television, radio and print interviews.
